U.S. Congressman French Hill
Dear Friends,

Our nation’s budget reflects America’s priorities, and should always put hardworking Americans first. This week, the House Budget Committee passed our Fiscal Year 2018 Budget Resolution, which outlines how we can create a pathway to future success for our children and grandchildren.

I am committed to ensuring that we work to effectively address our government spending habits and that we are good stewards of hardworking taxpayers’ dollars. Our newly released budget tackles our broken tax system, makes positive reforms to mandatory spending, and much more.

Here's what our budget does:

  • Balances the Budget

The budget resolution establishes a path toward a balanced budget within 10 years, without raising taxes, and places the government on a fiscal course sustainable for the long-term.

  • Ensures a Strong National Defense

The budget resolution supports robust funding for troop training, equipment, compensation, and improved readiness.

  • Returns Power to States and Local Governments

The budget resolution encourages the innovation and creativity of state and local governments, and returns significant authority back to the states. The laboratories of democracy, not the federal government, are where these reforms should take place.

  • Reforms Government Programs While Improving Accountability

The budget resolution reforms government programs and improves accountability while generating better outcomes for Americans.

We are working hard to make certain each tax dollar is used wisely, so that future generations can thrive in America. We're putting our nation back on the path to prosperity and financial freedom!

Sincerely,

Representative French Hill

A big thumbs up to these Boy Scouts from Arkansas who stopped by to say "hi" on their way to the 2017 National Jamboree. These young men our making our state proud! Senator Boozman, Congressman Womack, and I loved spending time with them.

Pleased to celebrate 20 years of the Little Rock headquartered Bank of the Ozarks becoming a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq. Congress regularly evaluates the regulatory oversight of our exchanges, capital markets, and corporate financial policies to ensure fairness, accessibility, and competitiveness.

Our interns work tirelessly to serve the great people of Arkansas's Second District. These four have displayed strong leadership, work ethic, and professionalism. If you or someone you know is interested in interning in my district or D.C. office, visit my intern web page for more information.

How are we doing?

I want to hear from you! Since a critical part of my job in Congress is my representation work on behalf of Arkansas's Second Congressional District, I place a high priority on my office's constituent services. I hope you will take a minute and complete this quick survey HERE
